Eduardo Chillida 100 years

Eduardo Chillida 100 Years. Meeting Place
On the occasion of the first centenary of the birth of Eduardo Chillida (1924–2002), the Eduardo Chillida – Pilar Belzunce Foundation has promoted a commemorative programme developed over two years (2024–2026) with the aim of highlighting and disseminating the legacy of the Basque sculptor.
Under the slogan Eduardo Chillida 100 Years. Meeting Place, the centenary has been conceived as an open space for dialogue and encounter between disciplines, territories and generations. Through a wide-ranging national and international multidisciplinary programme—including exhibitions, publications, educational initiatives and audiovisual projects—the centenary has reaffirmed the enduring relevance of the artist and his values within the global artistic landscape.
The programme has been promoted by the Eduardo Chillida – Pilar Belzunce Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, and the City Councils of Hernani and Donostia–San Sebastián, in collaboration with numerous public and private cultural institutions.
