Maeght Universe

Maeght Universe proposes a dialogue between the works of Eduardo Chillida and some of the artists the historic dealer Aimé Maeght and his wife, Marguerite, worked with. Thus, the museum houses outstanding pieces by Georges Braque, Alexander Calder, Alberto Giacometti, Pablo Palazuelo, Julio González, Jean Arp, Barbara Hepworth, Antoni Tàpies, Joan Miró and Marc Chagall. Organised in collaboration with the Marguerite Foundation and Aimé Maeght and the Eduardo Chillida–Pilar Belzunce Foundation, it is held as a tribute to the Maeght Foundation of Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

Eduardo Chillida maintained a relationship of friendship and trust with Maeght that lasted for nearly 30 years until his death. There is little doubt the dealer contributed to promoting the role of Chillida by giving him the opportunity to share these extraordinary creative moments.
