Chillida. Catalogue raisonné of sculpture IV (1991-2002), published in Spanish, Basque and English, brings together the artist's sculptural production between 1991 and 2002. Each piece includes detailed information on its materials, owners, exhibitions and bibliography and is accompanied by one or more photographic reproductions "The publication of this fourth volume culminates a work that has lasted more than ten years and is sure to become the masterpiece of the sculpture of Eduardo Chillida. In the four volumes that make up the catalogue raisonné we find an extensive production made up of more than 1,400 catalogued sculptures", points out Ignacio Chillida, the sculptor's son and author of the catalogue together with Alberto Cobo, of the Eduardo Chillida Estate.
Under the scientific direction of the Chillida Estate, the pages that make up the catalogue are, in the words of Alberto Cobo, "the result of a rigorous and lengthy historiographic work of documentation and analysis that allows us to identify each of the sculptures made by Chillida throughout this period". A text by Christa Lichtenstern, a prestigious art historian and specialist in the work and thought of Eduardo Chillida, enriches the cataloguing work and sheds light on the aesthetic approaches of this universal artist.
