Chillida. Applied designs

The exhibition presents the side of Eduardo Chillida as an illustrator and forger of 2-dimensional shapes and icons in different collaborative projects: within the framework of his own exhibitions and from commissions from public and private associations and institutions. The exhibition, curated by Peio Aguirre, explores the expanded and repeated universe of Chillidian silhouettes.

Thus, it can be seen that there is an “applied” Chillida through numerous designs of emblems, logos and stamps. The exhibition investigates this condition of abstract forms when they are flattened and come into contact, directly or indirectly, with graphic design, poster design, textile arts, ceramics or jewellery, with the objectual notion of the derived product and what is known as corporate identity.
