100 years of Eduardo Chillida with the Telefónica Collection

The exhibition, 100 years of Eduardo Chillida with the Telefónica Collection, brings together a selection of pieces by the sculptor in Chillida Leku that are part of the heritage of Telefónica, the telecom company that led pioneering work in the field of corporate collections during the 1980s. This commitment of the company to art and culture allowed us to bring together a substantial group of sculptures and works on paper by the artist, Eduardo Chillida.

Pieces of iron and wood, earth, alabaster and Corten steel swelled the newly established Telefónica Art Collection, along with paintings by Picasso, Juan Gris, Tàpies and Luis Fernández. In this context, Eduardo Chillida's sculptures stand out for their nature of great solidity and relevance to the discourse of modernity in the Telefónica Collection.
