Summer Solstice - Proximity at Chillida Leku

Chillida Leku hosts Proximity, a landscape opera by Strijbos & Van Rijswijk, specially adapted for the museum to celebrate the summer solstice. The Dutch composers will transform the museum’s fields with immersive sound, offering a unique sensory experience that reimagines the space. Inspired by Eduardo Chillida’s work, the piece will feature Basque sopranos Carolina Luquin and Haizea Muñoz, and French musician David Chalmin. This site-specific performance invites the audience to walk, reflect, and rediscover the landscape in an extraordinary way.
