Inaugural ceremony of the centenary of Eduardo Chillida

The Eduardo Chillida -Pilar Belzunce Foundation has organised the inaugural event for the centenary of Eduardo Chillida's birth on January 10, 2024. It will be an occasion to celebrate the life and work of the Basque artist through dance, music and philosophy. Presented by Anne Igartiburu and Mikel Chillida, the event will be held at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, San Sebastian, featuring a dance show designed by Iratxe Ansa of the Metamorphosis Dance company (2020 National Dance Award) and Igor Bacovich, with music by Musikene, the Basque Country Higher School of Music, a performance from the Landarbaso Abesbatza choir and readings of texts by Susana Chillida, Ricardo Pinilla and Ana María Rabe. The event will revolve around the work and thoughts of an artist with great universal values who still has the ability to generate social cohesion and to be a "meeting place" for all.
