Eduardo Chillida. Constructing in space

Eduardo Chillida. Constructing in space, an exhibition curated by Alicia Vallina, is made up of 7 sculptures and 8 works on paper that represent a journey through the artist's entire production. From works made in the 40s and 50s of the last century in bronze or stone, to those made in iron, alabaster or his famous chamotte earth, of which the Casa de Cultura in Avilés will be showing the small example entitled Lurra G-246.

The exhibition also includes works on paper such as drawings made with inks dated in the 1950s, as well as two examples from 1990 and 1992 in which, in addition to the aforementioned materials, the use of rope is incorporated. This exhibition, which will have its own catalogue, is the first time that Eduardo Chillida's work has been shown in the Asturian city of Avilés.
