Chillida in Menorca

For the centenary of his birth, Hauser & Wirth Menorca presents a solo exhibition of Eduardo Chillida, one of the most influential Spanish artists of the 20th century. Chillida had a strong connection to Menorca, where he worked and spent many summers with his family. The exhibition in Menorca will highlight the artist's pioneering practice, which encompassed monumental public works as well as sculptures, drawings, collages and prints. Working in diverse media such as iron, steel, stone, alabaster and chamotte clay, his practice is inspired by the nature around him and pays tribute to the organic and elemental forces at the very core of existence.
