Chillida, that beautiful and explicable madness

The next edition of EncuentroMadrid, which will take place at the Mirador de Cuatro Vientos from 25 to 27 October 2024, will include in its programme a tribute to Eduardo Chillida, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth, through an audiovisual projection and a colloquium in which some of the major themes that he tackled through his work, such as space, matter, light, tolerance and faith, among others, will be explored in depth.

Through the projection of an audiovisual piece that mixes texts with archive materials, this meeting will seek to delve into the search for truth that always guided his creation and the values that he imprinted on each of his works. The screening will be followed by a conversation between the painter Antonio López and Pedro Chillida Belzunce, son of the artist, sculptor and painter, which will be moderated by the architect Enrique Andreo.
