Eduardo Chillida - Pilar Belzunce Foundation

Eduardo Chillida - Pilar Belzunce Foundation is a non-profit organisation whose primary purpose is that of studying and spreading awareness of the figure, work, and thinking of Eduardo Chillida Juantegui. The foundation performs its activities locally, within the space created by the artist himself around the Zabalaga country house in Hernani, as well as at a national and international level. For the realisation of such aims, it utilises the space, archive, and works loaned by the Sucesión Chillida – the artist’s estate.

Among these courses of action, the foundation is particularly active in the stewardship and promotion of Chillida-Leku, the artist’s museum. It collaborates in the dissemination of its exhibition programme and social and educational activities within and without the museum through courses, seminars, and conferences. Another focal aspect of the foundation is the development and support of research projects – whether archive-based, such as the Chillida Catalogue Raisonné of Sculpture, or relating to the conservation of artists’ legacies.
